The Atolls - “Highly GIF-able”

Thanks to the talented Denis for our own first gifs, as well as Vincent of Champagne Leader for having us play at the incredible Mag Lab.
Reblogged from "Fucking Tremendous"
We are mixing our fourth single.
"SHE’S TURNING GREEN / CHLORINE" will be available before the end of the year.
Meanwhile, we are recording a concept record. (See above photo.) All of the songs are new, most of which we have never played live.
Stay tuned.

Listen/download: Single #3 by The Atolls

I love when I find local bands that I find interesting. The Atolls have been knocking around for a couple years now and continue to surprise me with each single release. Their stuff has gotten more varied and “Kitten” has a real bluesy influence to it, while “Disco grins” shows this two man outfit has a pretty wide ranging musical catalogue to draw from. Overall a really exciting new development from a band to watch!

Thanks to Jonathan for the kind words, as well as being one of the first to write about our band.

THE ATOLLS

They play what they call “cottage cheese” rock music. The Atolls hail from the suburbs of Los Angeles.

Check out their music at http://theatolls.bandcamp.com. And know more about them on their Facebook page. Aaaand, this is where they Tumblr. Follow and listen to their #3 single Kitten. Took me back to the old 90’s garage rock music for some reason. It’s awesome!

Enjoy Indie faces!

Thanks to Indiecation!

Tonight’s performance…

Tonight’s performance…

We were invited to perform on an excellent YouTube Channel called Kilson Street.

Based out of Santa Ana, the guys were very hospitable, and we had a blast recording two crowd-pleasers, “Older Nazi Boyfriends” and “Tyrannosaurus Rex.”

Thanks again to Richard, Enrique, Frank, and Modesto for having us on their program. Here’s hoping to future visits! Be sure to check out their other videos, more great bands and hilarious sketches.
